Another skill I've recently honed. . .creative but not entirely original. Cool enough to be noticed, but not cool enough
to join the circus.(My secret dream I have yet to realize- more on that later)
I can make earrings, pendants and rings out of forks, knives and spoons! They're actually very pretty and surprisingly
easy to market in Montana as fishing lures.
The new, improved bus is heading to Oregon in one week. See ya there!
Interesting conversation with a man at the flea market last weekend. . .a devout Pagan (which doesn't usually mean devil
worshipping, just in case you weren't sure) certain that being Muslim somehow precluded terrorism. It kind of went on from
there and the conversation ended up one-sided. I put up my little invisible "well-intentioned but really wierd anyway" customer
shield. "What personal experience do you have with these sorts?," I asked. "None, but I read and I heard blah blah
blah. . ." he went on. . .
Ghandi managed to turn around the fate of an entire country through preaching peacful co-existence as means to a common
goal. And at that time, in India, there were many more minority religious factions co-existing than seen in
US culture. There is always hope for peaceful co-existence, even if only for a short time. Even if you don't understand
or agree with others beliefs. . .
Also, Thank You SO Much Sandpoint community for such a great time last weekend. Where else in the Inland Northwest can
you go swimming at two different beaches, go to a DJ'd potluck in an old log cabin, discuss social politics with a Zionist
Jewish man from Israel, eat wild-crafted Morels and Barbequed salmon with capers, hula hoop, play with fire, watch a
herd of kids and see old men smile- all in the span of two hours? In one place!
